Spring energized PTFE seals (also known as vari seal) is widely used in high-efficiency and low-friction performance occasions, generally used for rod or end face sealing. It is a spring loaded ptfe seal, a PTFE lip seal and a PTFE lip rotary shaft seal, consisting of an outer ring sealing ring PTFE or filled PTFE and an inner ring spring. Although PTFE material has many performance advantages, due to the lack of elasticity of PTFE material, adding an energizer can make up for this shortcoming to achieve a more robust and stable sealing ability.
