TYS PTFE O Rings are designed for high-durability O-rings and have the following features:
PTFE o-ring temperature range: -328 degrees F (-200 degrees C) to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). Additives such as copper powder and glass fibre can be added to improve performance.
Application areas: They are commonly used in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, pipes and various hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
PTFE’s compression deformation is small, and the generally recommended compression rate is 10% to 25%, depending on the usage environment.
The recommended hardness of pure PTFE o ring is Shore 55-65. If the hardness needs to be increased, glass fibre, graphite or copper powder can be added.
PTFE O-rings are harder than rubber O-rings. Lubricants and installation tools can be added to assist with installation and avoid damage to the O-rings.
