By mistakenly drilling a hole in the wrong spot on my cast iron exhaust manifold, I found myself in a bit of a predicament. The hole, measuring at 3/8ths, needed to be addressed, so I decided to fill it with a unique compound. To my surprise, this compound has proven to be truly remarkable in handling the intense conditions it is subjected to. As I cruise along the freeway at a speed of 70MPH, the exhaust gasses passing through the patched area are measured at approximately 600F, with a pressure of around 10lbs. However, when facing the challenge of longer grades while fully loaded, the temperatures skyrocket to an alarming 1250F, with the pressure reaching upwards of 40LBS. Despite these extreme conditions, the compound not only holds up well but also boasts an impressively fast curing time. I have no hesitation in recommending this product for even the most demanding exhaust manifold repairs. Considering that purchasing a new manifold for my 06 Dodge Ram Cummins would have set me back around $500, I am thrilled that I was able to save a substantial amount of money by successfully repairing the mistakenly drilled hole with this exceptional product.
